Outdoor hotel pools in Qatar are FINALLY open

It’s been a long, hard summer (it still is) and even though that inflatable outdoor pool has been a good investment, you need the real deal. And we’re happy to share the news that outdoor hotel pools in Qatar are officially open starting today.

According to a circular issued to the hotels by QNTC, the reopening of outdoor hotel pools in Qatar within the process of implementing the second phase of the “Qatar Clean” programme are permitted.

“It is a joint initiative between the National Tourism Council and the Ministry of Public Health to set instructions and measures that hotel establishments must comply with to limit the spread of the coronavirus and protect the health and safety of all guests and employees,” states the circular.

Rules for reopening outdoor hotel pools in Qatar 

Reopening of swimming pools in the external areas of the hotel establishments is permissible according to the following guidelines:

1. Keeping health clubs, gyms and indoor swimming pools closed until further notice.
2. Maximum permitted capacity of the pool will be 50% of the pool capacity.
3. The use of chlorine in the water must be according to standards in force in Qatar.
4. All safety regulations must be followed as per standard practices.

The circular is in force starting today, July 12 2020.
